⟨3⟩ vāṇa-kō-¡A!⟨v-a⟩raicaru maru-makkaḷ po⟨4⟩ṟṟokkaiyār carukkirunta-Ūr pō⟨5⟩ntai mēṟ cakkaravaru paṭai vanta ñā⟨6⟩ṉṟu nākkaiyār iḷa-makaṉ vattāva⟨7⟩ṉ makaṉ ṉan⟨8⟩(ti Eṟi)ntu paṭṭā⟨9⟩ṉ kal

(1–2) Tirthy-ninth [year] of the victorious king Macīntiraparumaṉ.¹

(3–9) [This is] the stone [of] Nandin, the son of Vattāvaṉ ¿[and]? ¿the younger son? (iḷa-makaṉ) of Nākkaiyār, he who fell fighting (eṟintu) when Poṟṟokkaiyār ¿[and]? ¿the people? (maru-makkaḷ) [of] the royal Bāṇa king marched (vanta²) ¿[with]? the army [of] Cakkaravar upon Pōntai ¿[in] carukk-irunta-Ūr?.
