(1–4) Tirthy-eight [year] of the victorious king Mahendravarman1.

(4–9) [This is] the stone [of] Kākaṇṭi Aṇṇāvaṉ, the servant of Poṉṉarampaṉār, he who fell recapturing (iṭuvittu2) cattle when Kantaviṇṇaṉār, the nephew of the royal Bāṇa king seized cattle [in] kūṭal.

(10–12) [This is] stone that the ¿people? (iḷa-makkaḷ3) of Kūṭal had planted.
