(1–3) Tirthy-third [year] of the victorious king Macīntiraparumaṉ.1

(3–13) [This is] the stone [of] the son [of] Poṅkiyār, [who was also] the younger son (iḷa-makaṉ) [of] Poṉṉi(taṉ)ṉār, the honourable paternal uncle [of] Kantaviṇṇaṉār2, he who fell hit (eytu) [by] a knife, when Kantaviṇṇaṉār, the nephew [of] the royal Bāṇa king marched (ceṉṟu3) ¿[in] Vēlmaṟutti? against (mēl4) Poṉṉarampaṉār, the nephew [of] the royal Bāṇa king.
