Notes

  1. 1. Sanskrit Mahendravarman.
  2. 2. Probably a placename.
  3. 3. That is, Mēlvēnāṭu according to Mahalingam 1988.
  4. 4. It is not clear who is the servant of Poṟkāṭāṉṉār: Poṟpāṉaṉṉār, following Mahalingam 1988 and according to the names similarity, or Naripaḷḷi Vīravāṇṇaraiyar, according to straightforward syntax?
