Translation by Emmanuel Francis

(1) Prosperity! Fortune!

(1) Fifteenth year of the victorious king Kampavarman.

(1–3) Writ/Writing of I, Tāḻiccāni, Brahmin lady and younger wife (iḷaiyāḷ) [of] Āgnicitta-sarvakratu, a caṉaṟkumāra-caturvedin of Kumuḻūr, [one] among the governing delegates of Uttaramērucaturvedimaṅgala in the Kāliyūrkkōṭṭam and the division of the same name.

(3–7) One plot which joins/is south of the plot that [I] gave, having bought [it] as my dowry (aṅkamaṇi), after giving wealth (dravya) from my dowry, [in] Mullaivāyil, from a resident of Ciṟupaḻuvūr; the plot that [I] gave ¿earlier? (muṉṉam) as arcanābhoga has become (āṉār) one who will have (kāṭṭuvippār) daily glorious amṛta (nāḷ-t tiru-amitu) given to the Mahādeva in the temple that we have built [in] Mullaivāyil.

(7–8) As long as the earth and the sun (nilamum ñāyaṟum uḷḷa tuṇaiyum), We, the members of the assembly of Uttarameruccaturvedimaṅgala will, ¿looking favourably/overseeing up to the end? (kaṭai-k kaṇṭu), have the glorioys amṛta given.

(8) These ... ¿Ciṟṟa ...?

(The inscription stops short here.)
