Translation by Emmanuel Francis

(1) Prosperity! Fortune!

(2–3) Sixth year of Nantippōtaraiyar.

(2–7) We the members of the assembly of Veṇkuṉṟam in the Veṇkuṉṟakkōṭṭam, so as to look for (nōkka) the god (bhaṭār) on the hill in our village, having sold to Tōciyār, who resides in Nelvāyil, all [the tax income from] the paddy, the gold of the Aippaci month, and the oil, of whatsoever kind, having made the sale-document, We the members of the assembly of Veṇkuṉṟam, we have given it.

(7–10) If we say that this is not so, we solemnly declare (oṭṭi-k kuṭuttōm) so that we place one thousand kāṇams ...

(10–11) The feet of he who protects this pious deed are on my head.
