Translation by Emmanuel Francis

Prosperity! Fortune!

To the koṭukkappiḷḷais (koṭukkappiḷḷaikaḷ) [at the service of] Nantippōttaraiyar1:

"[We,] the ūrārs of Uḻalūr, according to (paṭi) the makaḷmai, after having made a request to the lord (perumāṉaṭikaḷukku), we have given with (koṇṭu) all immunities."

As per the above (mēlālum), the koṭukkappiḷḷais:

"The feet of he who protects this (donation) are on [our] heads (literally: tufts)."

At the order (paṇi-y-āl) of the koṭukkappiḷḷais, (this is) what Arituṭṭaṉ, the guard (kāppāṉ) of the gem-treasury (māṇikka-p-paṇṭāram) and guard of the body of the Siṁhala [king] [OR: the Siṁhala body-guard from] (ciṅkaḷa-mey-kāppaṉ), after coming, had made.
