(1) Prosperity! Fortune!

(1–2) 14th year of the king Rājakesarivarman, who, after having distributed pots in the cālai of Kantaḷūr, took the country of the Gaṅga, the country of the Nuḷampa¹ and the Taṭikaivaḻi.

(2–3) [There are] ten kaḻañcus of gold that Kantaṉ Kaṟṟaḷi, [one among] the tēvaputtiras of this temple, gave for one perpetual lamp for the Mahādeva of the glorious Aintaḷi of Kotumpāḷūr in the Uṟattūr-k-kūṟṟam.

(3) [There are also] nine kaḻañcus of gold that […] [gave for] […] [of] the glorious temple² (kōyil) [of] this temple (it-taḷi).

(3–4) Let [these] be kaḻañcus of gold that the coin-tester of this temple takes³.

(4) This [donation is under] the protection of the Paṉmāheśvarars.

Commentary

(3) (I)t-taḷi-t tiru-k-kōyil. Note the use of the synonyms taḷi and kōyil, the first to designate the entire complex made of five temples and the second to designate one of these five temples.
