English Translation

(1) Oṃ, praise to Śiva

I
Praise to Śambhu, beautified by the chowrie moon kissing his lofty head; like a foundation pillar of a city that is the three worlds.
II
Praise to Śambhu, whose Self consists of perpetual, eternal knowledge and sovereignty, who is the foundation of Brahmā’s pillar, bearing the fruits of [his] will.

(2) Praise to the king’s teacher!

(3–7) Be it well! Refuge of the entire world, beloved of the glorious Earth, the Mahārājādhirāja Paramēśvara Paramabhaṭṭāraka, Kalañjarapura’s munificient Lord, whose banner is the golden bull, accompanied by the sound of ḍamarukas and tūryyas, sun to the lotus flower which is the Kaḷacuryya family, impetuous on the battle field, a mount Sumeru of pride, sun of the good warriors, elephant-driver’s hook of heros, a leader of elephants, a diamond-cage for refugees, the Lord of Laṅka for splendour, a brother to other men’s wives, Śanivārasiddhi, powerful on the hill-fortress, Rāma, whose hallmark is being energetic, a lion against the elephant-enemies, Niśśankamalla: with such suitable names the glorious strong-armed Cakravartin Tribhuvanamalla Bijjaṇadēva everyday experienced the love of the Earth
