Mutgi Inscription of Kannara [Kr̥ṣṇa III], Śaka 886

Summary: This inscription is engraved on three sides of a four-sided stone block, broken off from a pillar. A portion of the stone is chipped off resulting in the gaps in faces A and B. The inscripton identifies Tailapa II as the subordinate of Kannara/Kr̥ṣṇa III, who granted him Tardavāḍi 1000. Rācaṇayya, an administrator under Tailapa had certain lands released from Tailapa and in turn, released them to a deity whose name is lost.
