Elapsed Śaka year 841, month of Śrāvaṇa, the twelfth tithi of the waxing fortnight, Mawulu, Umanis, Monday, the lunar mansion Mūla, the deity Nairr̥ti, the conjunction Vaidhṛti, in the southwest direction. That was the time when the Great King Lord of Layaṅ Dyah Tloḍoṅ Śrī Sajjanasannatānurāgatuṅgadeva demarcated the forest of Lintakan in the district of Malintaki, and the forest in Tunah, in the district of Pinapan and there was a demarcated land in Vru, in the district of Magañjar for the custodian of the sanctuary, in connection with irrigating the freehold. There is 1 tampah of wet rice field in Kasugihan, in the east of the land in Tunah and Lintakan. It was bought by the Great King from the headmen in Kasugihan for 1 kāti,13 dhāraṇa and 6 māṣa of silver. It was then also demarcated. The function of it was for the offering (carua) to the funerary monument of the Great King’s father in Turu Maṅambil. This demarcated land is the land in the south of the fence here, guarded by the Mamrāti (and) the Tilimpik here. But the reason why all the taṇḍa rakryān also received the gifts, as well as their herald because the demarcation of the freehold land had been completed, to remain fixed until the future’s future.

Those who perform the tapuk performance at the demarcation of the sīma: si ra hulu, father of Marisa, native of Paglutan, district of Tiru Ranu, si Marūm, father of Tarima, native of Kahutanan, district of mataran, si Pañjuṅan, father of Namvi, native of Maṅevəl, district of Aṅgul, si Pataṅhuran, native of Vəṅkal, district of Dalinan, si Balilu, native of Paniruan, district of Paṅgil Hyaṅ, si Bisana, native of Pakalaṅkyaṅan, district of Pagar Vsi, si Lamayuṅ, native of Vatu-vatu, district of Vatu-vatu, the Tapuk performers, 30 in total, including the youth, all together were given 1 dhāraṇa of silver. The dancers (tarimva), all of them were given 1 māṣa of silver. The water provider (pininaṅ mavuaya) at MaR̥buṅ and (the one) at Vuluṅ were given 8 māṣa of silver each village, and saṅ VīR̥h at Kaśugihan who took part as the Mavuay, was given 2 māṣa of silver. The summary of the tributary gifts and offerings is complete.

They all presented themselves at the land of Tunah, which has just been made into sīma. At the taratag, they place themselves to eat, to drink, to wear perfume, to wear a paṅalih, to apply jənu, to wear flowers. The arrangement of it was: vegetables, 4 buffaloes, valued at 5 dhārana, 8 māsa each, 3 wild boars.

(3r11) Those ordered by the King to face the prepared foods [? gaṅan] were saṅ Paku Vaṅi, pu Bañjua, native of Kaṇḍaṅ, district of Paku Vaṅi and saṅ Ra Taṅkil, pu Vuñjī, native of TəR̥nəḥ, district of Taṅkil. The kind of thing that was drunk was tuak, siddhu, and ciñca. At that time there were drums, tuwuṅ cymbals, rəgaṅ cymbals, brəkuks, gaṇḍis, lutes. All the preparations [for] the food and drink were completed by evening.

At the sixth stroke (3r13) the vahuta of the sacred kudur stone stood up, wearing a jacket and a siṅh​​əl gown (1 yugala of cloth). He purified the sacred boundary stone that was placed below the vitāna facing west. All the judges approached. Situated north of the vitāna were the patihs and the village heads, the rarai and matuha, men and women. Situated south of the vitāna were the offerings:

to the sacred boundary stone, 5 yugala of embellished cloth, 5 māsa of gold;

to the holy Brahmā [fire], 1 yugala of embellished cloth, 1 māsa of gold,

rice in a copper pot,

one gold cooking pot 6 māsa [in weight],

50 pieces of scattered iron, various kinds of iron,

hoe (one of each),

The five requisites for the ceremony:

white and yellow powder

fragrant flower

incense

light

boreh (jnu)

Those are the kinds of offerings (for the ceremony).

(3r17) The Lord Brahmā is attended to as a divine witness to the holy boundary stone. Thereupon, he [saṅ makudur] makes an obeisance and pūja to the God Brahmā, he set a curse upon the holy boundary stone.

His words: “Hear ye, Lord Brahma, and the gods of the earth, the fire, the lightning, the wind, the sky, the north, the south, the west, the east, below, above, the gods of day and night, all the invisible deities, all you Lords who are the divine authorities,

If ever there’s anyone who disturb the boundary stone, let them be killed by you. Your manner of killing them: you shall look behind, you shall look to the sides, strike them on the left side, and again on the right side, [so that] their snouts are struck, their heads are split, the bellies are torn out, their intestines are pulled loose, their insides are exposed, their livers are torn out, their flesh is eaten, their blood is drunk, and then they are finished, leaving behind [only] floating ashes. They are dropped into the mahārorava hell, swallowed up by the cauldron of Yama. They will suffer all kinds of pain.

As long as the holy moon and sun shine upon the world, that is how long they will find suffering, themselves, their wives, their children, their grandchildren, their great-grandchildren, and their great-great-grandchildren.”

Those were his words as he set the curse. Then he smashed the egg, slit the chicken’s throat. He said: “Hear ye, lords, just as the egg cannot return to its cage [? shell?], so the chicken cannot have its neck joined together again. That is what will become of people who disturb the demarcation of the kudur, their entire family will truly suffer.”

Let the one who made the sīma be well and prosperous. Let it be!
