⟨2⟩ bhū-¡d!⟨t⟩āna-taṇṭ’ i[…] UV • The lacuna can be restored as bhū-¡d!⟨t⟩āna-taṇṭ’ iṟaiyilikku <nilam> 4 10 <mā>. There are indeed 40 s missing to make the total of 240 s.

(1) [Date/Day] 25, of the month of Kārttikai, [bright fortnight], ... when the glorious ... the glorious heroic Lord Viruppaṇa1 was currently ruling the earth.

(1–3) So that there be (āka) ... a land of 240 s, [as follows]:
