Translation into French by Cœdès 1937–1966

I

Commentary

The word saima, saimī, does not appear in the lexicons, but its derivation from sīmā, and hence its meaning, are both certain (1937–1966, vol. 7, p. 160, n. 1).

śuśi is possibly a synonym of śukla, name of the 3rd year of the sexagenarian cycle. In this case, we would have a choice between the years 611, 671, 731... (1937–1966, vol. 7, p. 160, n. 2).
