<p n="1">According to Cœdès, the lost <foreign>akṣara</foreign>s can be restored as <foreign>pañcaśad</foreign> "fifty" or another numeral ended in -<foreign>śad</foreign>. Billard (<bibl rend="omitname"><ptr target="bib:Billard+Eade2006_01"/><citedRange unit="page">403</citedRange></bibl>) proposes to restore the year as <foreign>dvātriṁśaduttaraṣacchata</foreign> <supplied reason="explanation">= 632 <foreign>śaka</foreign> = 710/ 711 CE</supplied>, <foreign>ṣaḍtriṁśaduttaraṣacchata</foreign> <supplied reason="explanation">= 636 <foreign>śaka</foreign> = 714/ 715 CE</supplied> and <foreign>pañcaśaduttaraṣacchata</foreign> <supplied reason="explanation">= 650 <foreign>śaka</foreign> = 728/ 729 CE</supplied>.</p>

Commentary
(1) According to Cœdès, the lost akṣaras can be restored as pañcaśad "fifty" or another numeral ended in -śad. Billard (2006, p. 403) proposes to restore the year as dvātriṁśaduttaraṣacchata (= 632 śaka = 710/ 711 CE), ṣaḍtriṁśaduttaraṣacchata (= 636 śaka = 714/ 715 CE) and pañcaśaduttaraṣacchata (= 650 śaka = 728/ 729 CE).
