Summary: In three anuṣṭubh verses, this inscription records the installation of an image of Viṣṇu by Pṛthivīpaṇḍita, a relative of Yajñāvarāha, in the northern tower of the temple-complex of Banteay Srei.

⟨5⟩ teneha sthāpitā viṣṇoḥ

pra[bha]viṣṇor iyan nimā |

⟨6⟩ bhaktyā bhāgavatāryyeṇa

Translation into French

(1) Victoire au premier des Mâles, dont le séjour intermédiaire, caractérisé par le son, est [néanmoins] considéré comme suprême par les connaisseurs de la Suprême Réalité !

(2) Celui qui, parent et ami spirituel de Yajñavarāha, a reçu le nom de Śrī Pṛthivīndrapaṇḍita,

(3) Ce noble Bhāgavata, connaissant le sens de tous les śāstras, a érigé avec piété cette statue du tout-puissant Viṣṇu.
