L’ ācārya Kīrttivara a composé l’hymne pieux. Il possède les qualités de puissance et de naissance, la piété, et il suit la carrière des Tathāgatas. Il est dévot à Maheśvara par tradition de famille. Que cette grotte, entreprise excellente de cet homme à la pénétrante intelligence, soit prospère !

⟨5–8⟩ La communauté des ascètes, sainte ⟨et⟩ sage, dans cette grotte pure, a offert en don un Buddha, un Brahmā, un Viṣṇu, un Parameśvara souriants et bienfaisants. Clairement, (vyakta), il y a là une statue […] produit des mérites : il n’y en a pas d’autres en dehors d’elle. Nettement, elle est la seule pure. On a donc établi ces quatre fondations.

Commentary

The inscription is engraved within a frame incised in the rock face. The Sanskrit and Khmer parts are separated by two perpendicular lines.

Roeské’s edition has daṇḍa at the end of each line. They are not visible on the EFEO rubbing n. 895.
