L’édification du sanctuaire eut lieu sous le règne de notre auguste Seigneur portant le nom de Rājāvatī, à savoir trente-deux ans après qu’il avait obtenu la capitale et la Fortune royale.

<p rend="stanza" n="1">Je compose ce texte pour servir de document et de témoignage indélébile à tous les gens de l'extérieur.</p>
<p rend="stanza" n="2">Nous avons <supplied reason="subaudible">fini d'</supplied>ériger la statue du Buddha ainsi que le sanctuaire un jeudi - l'heure étant la dix-septième -</p>
<p rend="stanza" n="3">treizième jour de la lune croissante de Bisākh, année du Tigre - la deuxième du cycle décimal. L'ère du Seigneur avait atteint deux mille plus quatre cent</p>
<p rend="stanza" n="4">et trente-trois ans; quant aux mois écoulés, ils furent au nombre de onze, et les jours de vingt-huit.</p>
<p rend="stanza" n="5">L'édification du sanctuaire eut lieu sous le règne de notre auguste Seigneur portant le nom de Rājāvatī, à savoir trente-deux ans après qu'il avait obtenu la capitale et la Fortune royale.</p>
<p rend="stanza" n="6">Lors, Ok Ñā Jhūk <gap reason="illegible"/> chef de service <gap reason="illegible"/> puis <gap reason="illegible"/> Som devint Chef des Corvéables, les Cau Mīoeṅ Nāyak,</p>
<p rend="stanza" n="7">Nai, les Anak Bañā Vaṅsāmārgā, An, Am Kaṅ et Ok. Sa Majesté <gap reason="illegible"/> tête du pays, à l'intérieur et dans les provinces, à la droite du souverain, quotidiennement.</p>
<p rend="stanza" n="8">Ô, gens de mérite! Veuillez donc écouter le récit véridique concernant ce sanctuaire. Aucune personne étrangère ne l'avait conçu</p>
<p rend="stanza" n="9">hormis moi-même. Pourtant, en dépit de mes peines, je ne l'aurais pas exécuté de si tôt, amis, sans votre aide financière:</p>
<p rend="stanza" n="10">Vous avez manifesté un enthousiasme indescriptible lorsque vous ameniez or et argent, de partout, pour édifier la statue du Seigneur et ce sanctuaire, visant à atteindre le Ciel et le <foreign>nirvāṇa</foreign>.</p>
<p rend="stanza" n="11">Ô, compatriotes! Que nous soyez Jī, Cau, <gap reason="illegible"/>, Ok Ñā <gap reason="illegible"/>, votre contribution vous a gagné des mérites, lesquels constituent le véhicule qui nous transportera, tous,</p>
<p rend="stanza" n="12">vers l'autre rive, en emmenant avec nous les membres de nos familles, nos pères et mères, nous maîtres <gap reason="illegible"/>. Qu'on sache que nos vœux sont ainsi !</p>
<p rend="stanza" n="13">Mes frères, en m'écoutant relater la fondation de ce sanctuaire, apprenez que cela nous assurera un bon renom, n'avez aucun doute.</p>
<p rend="stanza" n="14">Chinois, Annamites, Cambodgiens, hommes et femmes, vous donnâtes vos biens à cette œuvre avec enthousiasme, plaisir, allégresse et grande sincérité. Souvenez-vous-en constamment,</p>
<p rend="stanza" n="15">sans relâche, sans négligence, même dans votre sommeil, pensez-y avec ferveur continûment et jusqu'à la fin des temps.</p>
<p rend="stanza" n="16">Oh! Les actes du passé avaient déterminé notre rassemblement - entre parents et amis - dans l'érection de cette statue du Seigneur: cela doit remplir nos cœurs d'extrême gratitude.</p>
<p rend="stanza" n="17">Comme fruit de cette œuvre méritoire à l'égard du suprême Buddha, nous demandons à jouir <gap reason="illegible"/>.</p>
