L’édification du sanctuaire eut lieu sous le règne de notre auguste Seigneur portant le nom de Rājāvatī, à savoir trente-deux ans après qu’il avait obtenu la capitale et la Fortune royale.

Mes frères, en m’écoutant relater la fondation de ce sanctuaire, apprenez que cela nous assurera un bon renom, n’avez aucun doute.

Chinois, Annamites, Cambodgiens, hommes et femmes, vous donnâtes vos biens à cette œuvre avec enthousiasme, plaisir, allégresse et grande sincérité. Souvenez-vous-en constamment,

Oh! Les actes du passé avaient déterminé notre rassemblement - entre parents et amis - dans l’érection de cette statue du Seigneur: cela doit remplir nos cœurs d’extrême gratitude.
