In the third <supplied reason="explanation">?</supplied> prosperous year of Śrī Jayanāga, established at Karṇasuvarṇaka, overlord of great kings <supplied reason="explanation"><foreign>mahārājādhirāja</foreign></supplied>, devout worshiper of the Lord, and during the time that the chief <supplied reason="explanation"><foreign>sāmanta</foreign></supplied> Nārāyaṇabhadra, blessed by his feet, was governing the Audumbarīka province <supplied reason="explanation"><foreign>viṣaya</foreign></supplied>, when his administrator the <foreign>mahāpratihāra</foreign> Sūryasena was administrating, then <supplied reason="explanation"><foreign>tad</foreign></supplied> the <supplied reason="explanation">following</supplied> command was given to him by the chief: <q>The village of Vappaghoṣavāṭa has been given by me to Bhaṭṭa Brahmavīrasvāmin, a member of the Kāśyapa <foreign>gotra</foreign> and student of the Sāmaveda, for the increase of the merit of my mother, my father, and myself, by the law of perpetual endowments: you are to give a charter in copper adorned with the seal of the province <supplied reason="omitted">and</supplied> in which the boundaries <supplied reason="explanation"><foreign>sīmā</foreign></supplied> and borders <supplied reason="explanation"><foreign>āghāṭa</foreign></supplied> are delimited.</q></p>
