Translation

⟨1⟩ Prosperity! Fortune!

⟨1–3⟩ 3rd year of the king Parakesarivarman.

⟨3–16⟩ So that there be (āka), ⟨from the land⟩, which I, Kaṟṟaḷi Piccaṉ ⟨of⟩ Tiruvāṭutuṟai have bought ⟨in⟩ Ciṟṟāṉaiccūr:

  • where it reaches to the north of the western rice field (mērpulam), six s for/per one person singing the tiruppatiyam;

  • where it reaches south of this, (kāṟ cey), one quarter for/per one who supplies ⟨liquids for⟩ the glorious bath;

  • and, where it reaches south of this, one quarter (tāraṇi-paṭakattukku) for/per glorious drummer;

I have made and given a permanent endowment, I, Kaṟṟaḷi Piccaṉ.

⟨16–17⟩ This ⟨is under⟩ the protection of the many great devotees of Śiva.
