·
· <p>The record is engraved in characters of a later period after an inscription of Tribhuvanachakravarttin Kōṉēriṉmaikoṇḍāṉ, who, from the royal secretary Mīṉavaṉ Mūvēndavēḷāṉ mentioned in it, may be identified with Kulōttuṅga-Chōḷa III, and has therefore to be presumed to be a copy. </p>
·
· <p>Paḻaiyaṉūr in Paḻaiyaṉūr-nāḍu is identical with the village of the same name close to Tiruvālaṅgāḍu in the Tiruttani division of the Chittoor district. The Tiruvālaṅgāḍu plates of the Chōḷa king Rājēndra-Chōḷa I record the grant of this village to the Śiva temple at Tiruvālaṅgāḍu. In the <hi rend="italic">Tēvāram</hi> hymns this latter place is called Paḻaiyaṉūr-Ālaṅgāḍu (i.e. Ālaṅgāḍu near Paḻaiyaṉūr).</p>
