35 <p>In the 9th year of king <hi rend="bold">Pārthivēndravarman</hi>, the residents (<hi rend="italic">ūrōm</hi>) of <hi rend="bold">Aṇai-Akkaraippūdūr</hi> made tax-free certain lands which had been already dedicated to the <hi rend="italic">śrīkōyil</hi> of <hi rend="bold">Ādityadēva</hi> in that village, which was owned by <hi rend="bold">Vaikhānasaṉ Kalinīkki-bhaṭṭa</hi>.</p>
· <p>We have here the residents (<hi rend="italic">ūrōm</hi>) taking the place of <hi rend="italic">sabhaiyōm</hi> of other inscriptions. A technical distinction was perhaps made between these two bodies.<note>See <title>Madras Epigraphical Report</title> for 1913, page 98.</note> </p>

80 <p>Hail ! Prosperity ! In the 9th year (<hi rend="italic">of the reign</hi>) of king <hi rend="bold">Pārthivēndravarman</hi>, we the residents (<hi rend="italic">ūrōm</hi>) of <hi rend="bold">Aṇai-Akkaraippūdūr</hi> made tax-free the four <hi rend="italic">taḍi</hi> of land and the well without excluding (<hi rend="italic">any</hi>) in-lying land (<hi rend="italic">and</hi>) gave (<hi rend="italic">as) archchanābhōga</hi> to this <hi rend="bold">Ādityadēva</hi>, as long as the moon and the sun (<hi rend="italic">exist</hi>), in the village-site (<hi rend="italic">nattam</hi>) of <hi rend="bold">Puḻidikkālneṭṭūr</hi> which had been (<hi rend="italic">already</hi>) given as <hi rend="italic">archchanābhōga</hi> to (<hi rend="italic">the temple of</hi>) <hi rend="bold">Ādityadēva</hi> of (<hi rend="italic">i.e., worshipped by</hi>) <hi rend="bold">Vaikhānasaṉ Kalinīkkibhaṭṭa</hi> of our village, by <hi rend="bold">Śēruppōśaṉ Eḻuvaṉ</hi>, (<hi rend="italic">his</hi>) brothers and (<hi rend="italic">his</hi>) junior uncle. We gave (<hi rend="italic">further</hi>) as <hi rend="italic">archchanābhōga</hi> to this god (<hi rend="italic">the fields) Dēvakuṭṭai</hi> and <hi rend="italic">Uṇaṅgaṟppiḍi</hi> in the cultivable land of our village and a house south of this sacred temple (<hi rend="italic">śrīkōyil).
