· <p>Hail ! Prosperity ! In the 7th year (<hi rend="italic">of the reign</hi>) of king <hi rend="bold">Pārthivēndrādhipativarman, Kumaraḍi-naṅgai</hi>, daughter of <hi rend="bold">Nandiri-naṅgai</hi>, daughter of <hi rend="bold">Dēvaṉār</hi> of <hi rend="bold">Tiruvūṟal</hi>, (<hi rend="italic">a suburb</hi>) of <hi rend="bold">Takkōlam</hi>, gave ninety-six sheep which would neither die nor grow old, to the god (<hi rend="italic">āḻvār</hi>) of <hi rend="bold">Tiruvūṟal</hi> for a perpetual lamp. <hi rend="bold">Paiyaṉ Tiruvūṟal</hi> was the shepherd who took charge (<hi rend="italic">of these ninety-six sheep</hi>) and agreed to supply daily one <hi rend="italic">uḻakku</hi> of liquid ghee (<foreign>neyyeṇṇai</foreign>). The sacred feet of those who protect this charity shall be on (<hi rend="italic">my</hi>) head.</p>
