35 <p>This mutilated inscription dated in the 3rd year of <hi rend="bold">[Pār]thivēndravarman</hi> mentions the Brahman assembly (<hi rend="italic">sabhā</hi>) of <hi rend="bold">Ilai-Vallam</hi> in <hi rend="bold">Dāmar-kōṭṭam</hi> and the measure called <hi rend="bold">Ūragattu-niṉṟār</hi>, by which oil was evidently measured out for maintaining a lamp in the temple of <hi rend="bold">Gōvindapāḍi-Āḷvār. Ūragattu-niṉṟār</hi> must refer to the <hi rend="bold">Vishṇu</hi> temple of <hi rend="bold">Ulagaḷanda-Perumāḷ</hi> at <hi rend="bold">Conjeeveram</hi> whose name according to the Vaishṇava scriptures (<hi rend="italic">Nālāyiraprabandham</hi>) was <hi rend="bold">Ūragam</hi>.</p>
