· <p>Hail! Prosperity! In the 12th year of <hi rend="bold">Rājanārāyaṇa Śambuvarāja,—Nallāttāḷ</hi>, the daughter of <hi rend="bold">Maṇṇai-Poṉṉāṇḍai</hi>, (<hi rend="italic">an inhabitant</hi>) of <hi rend="bold">Poṉṉūr</hi>, caused the blessed <hi rend="bold">Vihāra-nāyaṉār, Poṉṉeyil-nātha</hi>,<note>With <foreign>poṉṉeyilnā<hi rend="grantha">thar·</hi></foreign>, “the lord of the golden fortress,” compare <foreign>poṉṉeyiṟkōṉ</foreign>, which, according to Winslow, is the same as <foreign>arukaṉ</foreign> (<hi rend="italic">Arhat</hi>).</note> to be raised to the holy mountain of <hi rend="bold">Vaigai</hi> (<hi rend="italic">Vaigai-Tirumalai</hi>). Let this pious work be victorious!</p>
