Translation

⟨1⟩ Fortune!

⟨1–3⟩ Fourteenth year of Tantippōttaraiyar.1

⟨4–7⟩ [This is] the sluice that Nakkaṉ, son of Kōṭṭaṅ[…]ntar, who lives residing in Āṟṟūr, in the Neṭuṅkalnāṭu, [itself] in the Ītūrkkōṭṭam, had made.

⟨8–9⟩ Kuvaṇataccaṉ […] Ceyantaṉ.
