Commentary

See Laksminarayan Rao 1955 (p. 56): “Vayirameghavarman, another later Pallava chief whose position in the genealogy is not known, is represented by a record (No. 178 of 1943-44), also from Kaḷāmpākkam, dated in his third year. Kaḷāmpākkam is shortened into Kaḷantai in this record which registers a donation made by a resident of the village who was called Paṅkāri Nantikuppaṭikaḷ for maintaining lamps before god Śiva.”
