Translation
⟨1–3⟩ Tirthy-third ⟨year⟩ of the victorious king Mayēntiraparumaṉ.1
⟨3–13⟩ ⟨This is the stone of⟩ …, the honourable son ⟨of⟩ Putaṇaṭi ⟨and⟩ the servant ⟨of⟩ the honourable Kantaviṇṇaṉ2, he who fell … (nallaṉāy tirintu), when the honourable Kanta(vi)ṇṇaṉ, the son ⟨of⟩ Iṇṇapantar attacked (eṟinta) marching (ceṉṟa) upon (mēl) Vēlaṭṭu(ṇ) against (mēl) the honourable Poṉṉarampaṉ, the son ⟨of⟩ poṇaimaṇaiṉṉār, ⟨one⟩ among the nephews ⟨of⟩ the royal Bāṇa king.
