Translation

⟨1–3⟩ Tirthy-third ⟨year⟩ of the victorious king Mayēntiraparumaṉ.¹

⟨3–13⟩ ⟨This is the stone of⟩ …, the honourable son ⟨of⟩ Putaṇaṭi ⟨and⟩ the servant ⟨of⟩ the honourable Kantaviṇṇaṉ², he who fell … (nallaṉāy tirintu), when the honourable Kanta(vi)ṇṇaṉ, the son ⟨of⟩ Iṇṇapantar attacked (eṟinta) marching (ceṉṟa) upon (mēl) Vēlaṭṭu(ṇ) against (mēl) the honourable Poṉṉarampaṉ, the son ⟨of⟩ poṇaimaṇaiṉṉār, ⟨one⟩ among the nephews ⟨of⟩ the royal Bāṇa king.
