⟨1–2⟩ Tirthy-third [year] of the victorious king Ciṅkaviṇṇaparumaṉ.¹

⟨2–11⟩ [This is] the stone of the son of the general (ēṉāti) Kantaparupu / of Kantaparupu², he who fell (paṭṭāṉ) fighting (eṟintu) when Pacirappaṇṇaṉ Kuṟaṭṭātaṉ, who was ruling over Toppuravaru-p-pāṭi [and who was] a servant of Viṇṇaṉṉār, took […] … (varamu) against (mēl⁴) the people (makkaḷ) of Kaṅkati-Araicaru.³
