Translation

⟨1⟩ Prosperity! Fortune!

⟨1⟩ Sixteenth year of Nṛpatuṅkavarmar.¹

⟨1–3⟩ The gold that I, Paṭāri,² wife (maṇavāṭṭi) ⟨of⟩ Harinandin, temple-man (kōyilāṉ) at Ālappākkam, have given for the sake of an unperishable lamp for the Mahādeva of Tiruppulivalam in Uttaramerucaturvedimaṅgala: thirteen kaḻañcus.

⟨3–4⟩ This gold, I have given for burning an unperishable lamp with ⟨its⟩ interest (poliyālē).

⟨4⟩ The great men of the supervision committee (vāriyapperumakkaḷ) ⟨are⟩ the protectors ⟨of⟩ this.

⟨4–5⟩ Let the feet of those who will protect this pious act (dharma) be on my head.

Commentary

Compare t=ta (line 1) and tta (line 4). Thus first could be encoded as Grantha.
