(1) Prosperity!

(1–3) Fifty-second year of the victorious king Nanticcuraparumaṉ.1

(4–11) On the day when Vallavaraiyaṉ marched 2 [with] his army upon (mēl) Perumāṉaṭikaḷ and destroyed Veṇkuḻikkōṭṭai, while Vāṇaraiyar, his uncle (māmaṭi) said (to him) “Let us proceed (tirika, that is, "Let us march against him, that is, Vallavaraiyaṉ)”, Kaṅkatiyaraiyar, who owns Kaṟkāṭṭūr, having [thus] poceeded (tirintu), fell (paṭṭār, that is "died").

(11–12) Planting of the stone (kaṉ-ṉāṭu) [by] Peruṅkaṅkar.
