Om, for Viṣṇu, who […], who bears the conch, whose abode is here, …, go, swift, swift, hail, hail, … me, protect me, guard me, stop the Kuṣmāṇḍa (demons) and others. Destroy! Hūm! Sphaṭ! Namaḥ! Svāhā!

thank you for sharing this fascinating material. As for the former, while Kuṣmāṇḍa seems to be common in Sanskrit sources, I wonder whether the fact that this demon/Rudra is associated with Śaivism is relevant in the context of a Vaiṣṇava (?) mantra. Also, perhaps more relevantly, in Nayasūtra (of the Niśvāsatattvasaṁhitā) 1.106cd–108ab, Kuṣmāṇḍa is the demon invoked to punish those evil-minded ones who turn their backs to the Śaiva community to return to Vedic ritual – for a discussion and translation of this passage, see Judit Torzsok’s article in the volume Tantric Communities in Context, p. 213.
