Commentary
Kern (1917, p. 149) proposed two versions of reading, namely bhogī, translated by him as “landowner” or “village chief”, and goṣṭhī “pleasant talk”. However, Krom (1927, p. 54, 1933, p. 271) and Lévi (1932, p. 100) preferred the reading bhogī.
