Ce mont (sa giriḥ) est le frère de Manu (manu-sodaryaḥ), avec ses innombrables {ou : ses mines de} qualités, prospères et excellentes (bhāgyotkarṣa-guṇākaraiḥ), de sorte qu’il (yad) nourrit une joie (puṣṇāti mudaṁ) pérpetuelle (nirantara) pour ceux qui se trouvent aux cieux (svargīṇāṁ) […]

Lui qui était faible d’esprit (ālpadhiyā vinā […] yaḥ) bien qu’entièrement constitué d’une importante quantité d’or et de joyaux (sarvatas svarṇa-ratnaugha-mayo ’pi), il s’incline [devant le dieu] en prenant l’aspect d’une montagne (draveṣānataḥ), lui par qui les pieds du Seigneur (Śiva) sont tenus sur son sommet {ou : sur sa tête}.
