L’ère du Seigneur le Buddha s’étant écoulé de deux mille quatre cent dix-huit ans, le Vénérable Braḥ Buddhaviriyavinayavaṅsā a réorganisé tout le monastère en compagnie de ses parents et amis. De piété, il a planté des arbres dans l’enceinte du monastère pour les besoins de ce dernier.

⟨5–7⟩ [Il déclara:] "A l’avenir, au cas où le sanctuaire de pierre ou les maisonnettes des moines se détériorent, que celui qui est nommé supérieur examine la situation, en vue de réparer les dégâts."

⟨7–10⟩ Je n’ai pas planté [ces arbres] comme aumône. Ensuite, les gens de partout […] écorcer les arbres […] des nisīd […] à l’endroit du Buddha, du Dharma et du Saṅgha, ces gens-là seront considérés comme destructeurs de la religion du Seigneur.
