Ś. 1358: 1436 A.D. The details of date i.e., Śaka 1338, Naḷa, Arpaśi, 25 are irregular. If the Śaka year quoted is a mistake for Ś. 1358, the date would correspond to 1436 A.D. This inscription records the gift of two door-ways in the shrine of Tiruvālīśvaramuḍaiya nāyanār and the setting up of an image of Tiruppaḷḷi-nāchchiyār for the god, by Śakkaraśar, son of Ayyaluppi Kaḍaiyār Vide No. 725 below. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ## Edition ### Part A ⟨A1⟩ svasti (∥) sakāt=taM 1000 3 100 ⟨A2⟩ 3 10 8 cellāṉiṉ⟨A3⟩ṟa naḷa varuṣaM Aṟpaci ⟨A4⟩ mātam 2 10 5 ti⟨yati⟩ (A) ⟨A5⟩ yyaluppi kaṭaiyār ⟨A6⟩ makaṉār cakkaracar tiru⟨A7⟩vālicuramuṭaiya ṉā⟨A8⟩yaṉāṟku tiruppa⟨ḷ⟩ḷi ṉācci ⟨A9⟩ yārum tirukkatavu Iraṇ⟨A10⟩ṭum Aracar tiruppaṇi [∥] ### Part B ⟨B1⟩ svasti śrīmaNma(hā)maṇḍa⟨B2⟩licuranāna ti [5+] ⟨B3⟩ [11+] ⟨B4⟩ [10+] ⟨B5⟩ [10+] ⟨B6⟩ [10+] ⟨B7⟩ [4+] viṭaiyā⟨B8⟩[3+] Uṭaiya(r) ⟨B9⟩ [3+] (rai) vayirava ṉāyiṉārṟ ⟨B10⟩ [1+] teva(rā)ya makārāyaṟku ⟨B11⟩ [3+] ā tam Atikā ⟨B12⟩ [5+] to ## Commentary There is another damaged inscription below this which reads:— [[see Part B]] ## Bibliography Digital edition of SII 17.693 by Krishnan 1964 converted to DHARMA conventions by Emmanuel Francis. ### Primary [SII] Krishnan, K.
