vēcāli-p-pāṭi vaṭa-karai vākūr-nā ṭṭu maṉṟāṭikaḷē vākūr śiśrī-muūlaṭṭāṉattu -p perumāḷukku nāṅkaḷ vaiyaitta dhatnma ṅ

kaṭṭil ēṟappōm pōtu Oru Āṭu ku ṭuttu-k kaṭṭil ēṟuvōm ākavum

puṟanā ṭṭi niṉṟu vantu Iñ-ñn-nāṭṭiṟ kaṭṭi l ēṟu maṉṟāṭi vacam oru Āṭu kuṭuppa t’ ākavuṅ

kuṭātu tiṟampiṉōmai-k ka ṇa-p-peru-makkaḷun tēvar-aṭiyārum ira ṇṭ’ āṭu piṭittu-k koḷḷa-p-peṟu vat’ ākavum

Oṭṭi-k kuṭuttōm iñ-ñn-nāṭ ṭu maṉṟāṭikaḷḷḷōm

It-dharmmam śca ndrātit=tavat niṟpat’ āka niṟutti-k kuṭu ppōm āṉōm iñ-ñn-nāṭu mataku ceykiṉ ṟa matakarōm

Year 22 of the reign of Kaṉṉara-tēvar.

The donation that we, the shepherds of Vākūr-nāṭu on the Northern bank of Vēcālippāṭi set up for the Lord of śrī-Mūlastāṉam of Vākūr is as follows.

At the occasion of climbing the cotA ritual during the marriage. we shall give a sheep to the temple on behalf of the shepherd and climb the cot.

We shall give a sheep to the shepherd who migrates from other country and climbs the cot in this nāṭu.

If we violate this prescription, the important members of the village administrative group and the temple servants ancers shall seize two of our sheep.

We, the shepherds of this nāṭu, have thus ordained upon mutual consent.

We, who do the work of the sluice matakuThat is, sluice openers. of this nāṭu, shall maintain this donation so that it exists as long as the moon and the sun will last.
